Meet Allison

I was radically converted to Christianity at age 27, just 6 weeks following the birth of my first child. In the 19 years (and 3 more children) since, I have been both an avid student and teacher of the Bible and theology, as well as the importance of a poetic and musical understanding of the Christian life. In other words, I have a house full of poetry and music and literature and theology and sometimes write about it. I write because God calls me to it, even if I have quit 4.5 million times. Writing is a discipline and a joy…and sometimes a curse (you fellow writers know what I mean). I have a BA in history and have studied history, literature, classical education, and theology in a whole variety of graduate schools and seminaries. Welcome to my newsletter.
